BEACH IN KRABI

Personally I like the beaches in Goa better. They are much more lively , the shacks serving food and alcohol have their own charm and then at night there are the beach parties with music. The beaches in Krabi are very quite and deserted , beautiful no doubt but very quiet and due to the many tiny islands there are always twigs and leaves floating on the water that collect on the beach and disfigure it to some extent. Phuket was more happening than Krabi though with respect to the people and water sports activities and restaurants. Posted by Picasa

FOSSIL BEACH KRABI

I am right at the edge of a cliff at Krabi , this was at quite a height but the shocking fact is that when the Tsunami struck , the level of the sea was at this level . I really can't quantify the height , easily above 300 feet more or less i think

KRABI

No Im not asking for a lift , Just giving Trudy the "Thumbs Up " to click the photo. We hired a bike @ 150/- Thai Baht per day and criss crossed the length and breadth of the island. A lot of scenic sights on the way. The road signs by the road are also quite good.

The view from the plane , just before landing in Phuket . One can see a lot of tiny islands and blue sky just before the plane actually lands .The Phuket airport itself is right by the sea . Lots of tourists , mostlly Aussies.

The Dubai Dolphinarium , located at the creek park in Dubai. There are three trained bottlenose dolphins and 4 seals. This was the first time that I actually saw and touched Dolphins so for me it was a really fascinating experience. I always wanted to see Dolphins up close !!
